For this activity, use a small bean bag or squishy ball.
Before passing out the bean bags, demonstrate the pattern while singing the song. For each line of the song, perform a different motion with the bean bag.
First line: put the bean bag around the back into your other hand
Second line: clap hands 3 times
Third line: put the bean bag around the back into your other hand
Fourth line: clap hands 3 times
Pass out the bean bags and ask the children to perform the actions with you while you sing again.
